1.1 - You must be willing to dedicate yourself and contribute effort for all 39 days of filming. If you cannot dedicate yourself for this amount of time, please let us know.
1.2 - You must be willing to write confessionals, post chats and thoughts on a regular basis. This is simple. Private confessionals will be made for every castaway. When logged in each person can post conversations with other players, as well as post personal thoughts about things going on in the game, first impressions, alliances, strategy, etc... It's that simple! This information submitted will be used after the game has completed production. Everyone's confessional will be unlocked for all eyes to read, it's pretty fun. A minimum of 2 quality confessional posts per round are required. If you fail to comply with this rule your right to vote will be taken away and will go toward yourself instead. Confessional posts are your own thoughts, not just conversations posted with other people.
1.3 - Participating in challenges is key in this game. Most challenges will be 24 hour challenges, they give everyone a change to participate seeing as we are all in different time zones. When posted each team or person will have 24 hours to complete it. When there are less players in the game some challenges may be held live, but that will be discussed further down the line. If you are cast in the game and cannot be around to compete in a challenge please let me know, if not I'm sure your tribe will notice. Point is, if you aren't going to be active or simply don't have the time - save the both of us some trouble and bow out. I want this game to be fierce.
1.4 - If circumstances change outside of the game and you wish to voluntarily remove yourself from playing, the option is there to do so. You can inform Production through AIM/Skype/Private Message or leave a short set of Final Words in your Castaway Journal. If you are at the Jury phase of the competition, your spot as Juror will be decided on your activity leading up to your removal.
iSurv1vor Points
2.1 - iSurv1vor Points (iSP) is the in-game currency that is accumulated by players in preparation for the iSurv1vor Auction. Details of iSurv1vor Points will be outlined in detail if this is introduced.
Player Obligations
3.1 - Some challenges require the posting of images. Tinypic or IMGUR links work fine you just need to surround the link with the IMG codes. If you need more clarity on how this works, ask a tribe mate when the game begins...IM or PM us.
3.2 - Some challenges require Screen Shots, so we ask everyone to make sure their print screen buttons are working. It is located on the top right of the keyboard next to, Pause/Break + Scroll Lock buttons. When you press this button is captures the current image shown on your monitor. If you open a paint/photo document and press paste...the screen shot should be pasted. You would then save the document, and upload it at photobucket/IMGUR so you can get the code. Any questions on how the print screen button works please ask a fellow tribe member or a host upon the start of the game.
3.3 - During a non-live (24 hour) challenge, you will be instructed of the time that the challenge will end entirely. This is to not be questioned or debated.
3.3(a) - If the plurality of the cast cannot agree on the time deadline, Production will agree to investigate and amend times accordingly if it satisfies both parties.
3.4 - If you leave for a period longer than 2-3 days, you are requested to inform all members of the Production team of your prior commitment. You must provide a "boot list" ranking your tribe mates in the likelihood you will not attend a Tribal Council.
3.4(a) - You will not be penalized for making Production aware of your time away, if events in-game shift tribes, a merge occurs or for any other reason is due in part to a schedule that was agreed upon prior to you starting the game.
3.5 - Alliances are commonplace in iSurv1vor and as such private group conversations are likely to happen. If you are invited into an alliance conversation, we request that any/all member(s) of Production be included to observe. This allows the staff to gain more insight into the game.
Etiquette
4.1 - Appropriate behavior with cast members and production crew is paramount. Threats towards other players and the staff will not be permitted in any way, shape, or form. If this occurs you will meet with a iSurv1vor staff member for an interview and further action will be taken. Inappropriate behavior does not include lying, backstabbing, or any actions in the spirit of the game.
4.2 - We will not tolerate accusations of fixing the competition without solid evidence to support your claim. If you have an issue with the game, please direct it to a Host for resolution. All cases of tampering are treat with the highest of importance.
4.2(a) - Solid evidence as outlined in Rule 4.2 is an audio recording, screenshot or other proof to support said claim. Assumption and word of mouth does not hold water here.
4.3 - Players will operate under a strike policy. Knowing and willing failing to adhere to requests and mandatory journal upkeep will result in a strike. Once a player has accumulated two strikes for either or both offences will result in your removal, all players have until the end of each round to comply or your strike will be counted.
Production & Amendments
5.1 - Any iSurv1vor Production Staff member has the right to change the rules at any point (if we see fit) without debate from cast members. You must respect the staff at all times; we are giving up our time so we can host and ya'll can play the game. Of course we're not going to change the rules randomly just to be unfair and weird. Only if during a challenge the original rules aren't quite working out, the hosts have the right to change the rules for any reason.
5.1(a) - If a rule has changed during the challenge, it is your obligation as players to inform people in your tribe not present at the amendment. Production will keep an eye out where needed but at times where no staff member is around that everyone is aware of the state of play.
5.1(b) - A live challenge may result in an immediate Tribal Council vote if all persons are present. If this occurs, the Production team will give you a small window of time to talk strategy and vote.
5.2 - No cheating, plain and simple. No cheating in challenges. No cheating with Alumni. No cheating with my mom. No cheating what so ever. Any player found cheating, at any time, will not only go down as the latest laughing stock of iSurv1vor - and the ORG world, but you will be thrown out of the game by a swift kick in the ass from Bali champion Joe. A recent case in Botswana resulted in three removals, we will take you all out if it means keeping the integrity intact.
5.2(a) - The use of "bots" or any software to give you an upper hand in posting challenges is strictly forbidden. This forum is designed to not have more than 4 posts from the same person within a minute (15 second wait each time you post) Using this software is cheating, if exercised whilst still in the two tribes phase of the game you will forfeit your tribes chances at Immunity and head directly to Tribal Council.
5.3 - Production have an approved "Timeline" which is followed to the day in order to have a full 39 day experience (excluding the pre-game stage) in the event of an incident that conflicts with the timeline this will be told to players as soon as possible.
5.4 - There is an icky side to hosting, where we as hosts have to make executive decision during challenges, regarding certain castaways etc. If you have a problem with "listening" and "respecting" an authority figure, please let us know. We aren't on power or ego trips, but there have been confrontations in the past where castaways don't understand the host has the last word. We are fair, so please listen and do not disrespect. All will be gravy then.
5.5 - Refusal of a Hosts request (leaving group conversations etc.) will result in an immediate strike.
Voting
6.1 - Once you post your vote in your confessional you cannot change it. Do not post it unless you are certain. Hosts are logging in and out daily - we see everything. Attempts in deleting an already posted vote will result in a super big penalty! Try us.
6.1(a) - If you cannot vote on the forum for whatever reason, you must inform all members of Production as there is no guarantee which Host will be taking duties for Tribal Council this round. We will accept votes through Skype/AOL Instant Messenger/E-Mail, once received they will be posted in your Journal.
6.2 - Self-voting is the act of a participant failing to meet requirements or meeting deadlines. You will not be penalized with a self vote for poor challenge participation. A two-strike rule is in force wherein if you fail to vote twice over the entire period of the game you will be evacuated.
6.3 - In the event of a tie between two (or more) players, those tied players will not take part in the re-vote whilst all other eligible players will determine who to vote out between the tied. If a majority decision is not reached, the players eligible in the re-vote will be safe and every other iSurv1vor (sans any Immunity holders) will take part in a lottery to determine who leaves the competition ("drawing rocks")
Hidden Immunity Idols
7.1 - Detailed Information will be revealed when the game begins as to the purpose of the aforementioned Hidden Immunity Idol.
In Closing
8.1 - Lastly and most importantly, have fun! Remember the staff is watching. Play the best game possible.
