OMG WHAT A CRAY TRIBAL! huge update to come!
The past two rounds of the game we have got to see two very strong players leave in the midst of really having everything be secure for them, or so they thought. I really have come a long way with my feelings on the American Tribe! Kuban to me has been chaos, complete chaos -- and I have had a TON of problems really enjoying them at times or seeing the strategic side to most of them.
I want to sit here and say after two rounds that I have found a place in my heart for all the remaining members of the tribe and I LOVE where they have gone. They still are messy, they aren't the most well put together group of people but I do like them.
Last round in my opinion was a total 180 for Mark. He went from being such a loser in my book, to something i could finally understand. He went from putting on this big tough guy, I don't give a fuck punk ass persona to someone who seemed to really care about the game.
There was a moment when he bid on Exile and he told me he was scared -- all I could think about now was how much I liked him and his story-arch so far. Mark has won me over. It doesn't mean I'll tolerate his bullshit, but in the game of iSurv1vor I am a complete fan.
With the leave of Maranda and the feuding of Mark, Brady, & Hunter vs Constance. Kuban is in for a ton of drama throughout the next few rounds. Heck! Even Whitney is getting into it. If they want to survive and have someone from their tribe win this entire thing, they need to start maturing and moving forward. At this point MALKA will decimate them in any and all social grace when it comes to Survivor.
This past round we focused a ton on Kuban... so it's time to move onto the rest of the world, Malka!
Malka has been a pretty unified tribe and the reason to why this is the case is because the tribe in its self has more mature members. If you take out Taylor, Felix and Axel this tribe is filled with non dramatic gamers who love the game of Survivor and when drama comes hand in hand they are more in tune with the strategic side opposed to the chaos.
They love Challenges, they love strategy, they love the dynamics created inbetween. Drama is a new thing for Survivor. People didn't get as cut throat or as deep as they now do, especially online.
Felix is probably the most delusional member of the entire tribe. I think he knows he is on the outs but he is someone who comes around and all he talks about is all the ORGS he plays, or is playing. No one wants to hear how you're too busy for them nor do they want to hear how you like drama or what you are doing in another game. Felix is a child and it's the best way to describe him because he doesn't see how transparent his character is.
He needs to learn that if you are talking crap about people to other people and it's all you really provide then it's all they are going to think you are saying behind their back as well. Felix is just on thin ice and I think no matter the situation you put him in, people will find him tremendously annoying and not worth their time.
This round I can see him trying to step up and really getting his shit together but what he will soon come to find out is that he may be on an island all on his own.
Axel and Taylor have created such a strong bond but the problem is their maturity level. I don't think they are bad people, especially Taylor. I just think sometimes it's hard for people to relate to people they just quite simply don't relate too. Taylor is a strong player and is good at challenges but her activity level has been not the best and alongside it when she is there she acts like a dork.
Axel is a horny teenager who is probably so stoked on her; so of course he is in love. I mean, I am in love with Taylor too -- I just think she is on the wrong tribe, and in the wrong season. It's hard to root for her. It's such a contrast since the last time I saw her play. I know I could get a long with her if we were in the game together but the tribe she is with is, well, not in tune to her cray, per say.
I just think Axel and Taylor talk too much together; and she relies too much on Axel, and Axel isn't someone to rely on, not in iSurv1vor 26, that's for sure!
These three are most in danger entering this round.
So even though Gannon is basically the chosen one, the real mastermind and game player at the moment is completely Daniel. If anyone thinks otherwise then you're not following the season so far. To recap the journey of Daniel, he came into this game as a friend of Taylor Ukmar -- he was instantly worried about Georgina and Taylor, and he quickly forged an alliance with all the grown members of the tribe.
Early on you could see he has the itch to play the game. This is his first rodeo and that means he may be too quick to hit a trigger but I think the fact he has had to face the journey of winning challenges first has probably made him really over think everything to the point where I know he will be playing it safe until he really can make a move.
His goal this round was to get EVERYONE to vote out Yogi; and he could tip off Yogi to vote Taylor and use some exile, sending Taylor home in a blindside. The point would be to have no blood on his hands, gain Yogi's trust, and also lower Yogi's HP. He devised this plan with Paulina who he has become the most close too.
Staying on topic with Yogi for a second though! Yogi in this game has been such a non issue, or even really acknowledged much. At this point his story line is a dead zone but the truth of the matter is that most of his story happens through Daniel.
Daniel is hot, we all know this, like really hot so why wouldn't anyone in the game think so??? Yogi is flirting with Daniel and probably falling in deep lust with him. Daniel knows this and has picked up on it, and he intends to exploit it. Right now Daniel is in a STRONG six person alliance and in that alliance probably has unbreakable ties with Paulina and now the seventh string to the alliance is sort of his lost puppy dog.
The six person alliance is both great and scary -- they are such a STRONG group of players. However when you stand side by side with the best, you are with the competition that you are scared of, and it makes you paranoid.
Daniel hates Axel, he doesn't understand Taylor -- and no one likes Felix... But the thing about Daniel is even though he knows his move to get Taylor out is good, he doesn't have tunnel vision. He is slowly starting to distrust and not get Tanya. I mean he said something to her along the lines of how "this alliance is good." Tanya then replied with something along the lines of "this alliance is good, for now." Didn't go over to well and you can tell Tanya was a little foot in mouth.
This isn't good for Tanya either because in the past round Rachel REALLY tried to stop Georgina from playing the challenge; and then in turn Tanya didn't want too anymore, and it unnerved Georgina, Rachel, and Gannon. So right now she is slowly finding herself at the bottom of her six person alliance but if she makes it to a certain point, thats ok, cause she doesn't want to stick with it long term.
The other night I had the pleasure of listening in to a conversation between Axel and Tanya; I think at one point Daniel was there but he went onto a call with Yogi, then Paulina -- they were obviously avoiding the main tribe call, probably cause of Axel. I think Tanya is a really kind person and she is one of my favorite players -- she is going to do well! Even though she is falling to the bottom of the alliance she makes a ton of effort to relate to the younger players.
Axel literally talked to her about how he wanted to get some ink done. He said he wanted song lyrics but didn't know what. The conversation was pretty juvenile, but Tanya engaged him for hours and they actually found out that they had a few things in common when it came to things they actually liked.
I think Tanya getting along so openly with the younger players who are on the outs is a positive, but I also think it's part of the reason to why people are starting to look at her and get confused.
I mean they basically forged a canadian alliance, they just didn't have Taylor on and I am not sure it included Rachel entirely.
At this point though it seems Malka is just READY for a Tribal Council. They have been playing this game for like 8 real days so far! They are thirsty and they know they can't win them all. Mark says it pretty well when he says connections have been made, the foundation is laid, but now it's time to see if it stands.
